Behold, the power of Teh Qte:  When we featured the custom pet portraits of Valerie Leonard, cuteologists swarmed her site — but many wanted a more affordable way to enjoy her creations.  And Valerie delivered, with a series of “Animal Ancestor Portraits” note cards, including a set of four holiday cards (sample below).  They’re historical — and hysterical, so check ‘em out.

Keep the milk and cookies, kid, just leave the liquor cabinet unlocked.

Tonight, my wonderful shire [info]flaredragon composed beautiful piano tributes to two of my photos. If you have a moment, please listen, I'm sure you won't regret it. Feedback is appreciated.

So, Shadow and I are in the process of finishing up our first fursuit head. QUESTION...should we tape/fur the ears THEN fold them (they have wires in them so they can be straight or folded), or fold THEN tape/fur? Any help is appreciated. XD

I've come to a halt in my head construction. I've looked through the heads memories, but I cannot find what I was looking for. So my question is, for those with a mesh fursuit head, What do you line it with? I was making the head for a friend and it didn't seem very professional or nice to give it to her considering how icky the inside looked. My foam was aged and splotchy and I don't want her to see that. It'd be easy to say just get a balaclava, but you still see the inside of the head, you just don't feel it. Can anyone help?

no particular breed (as far as i know) i just followed the ref. i did look up bat noses because the nose on the ref is a bit obscure and man do bats ever have strange noses o.O

this guy looks better in person, the pictures pick up the glare of the shiny red fur and the black around the eyes way more than the human eye does, plus i wish i had better lighting >_<

his expression is supposed to be "friendly stoner surfer with a very dark, sadistic side. The polite, friendly serial killer, lol" which are contradicting expressions so it was hard to pull off, i got the friendly part ...and hopefully him being devil colored is enough for the evil part XD

In what is definitely a blast from the past, I found this old news story laying around on my hard drive of TurnTide from 2004:

Strangely enough, I make two appearances in this--the first one at 2:40 is of file footage from when they interviewed me for a story about spam in 2003. That was amusing.

A few months after this story was shown, the Symantec Corporation bought us for $28 Million. Those of you saw me at Anthrocon 2004 might recall that I was tightlipped about work, as well as carrying around this skateboard. Now you know why. :-)

I think I'm about ready to murder all cats. They keep coming into my room and peeing. I am quite sure it's because the room was previously a giant litterbox for cats, there are stains on the floor and walls. I know cats like to mark to make sure their territory doesn't smell like strange cats. But damn. I don't even know what to do. I am so frustrated and aggravated at them. I have never ever had this type of problem before, and no matter how much I clean it doesn't help. Maybe I can't smell the cat pee anymore once I've thoroughly cleaned but their sensitive noses pick it up, probably trapped in the wood or the plaster, and there they go peeing again. I have gotten quite apathetic about it the past couple weeks, tired of trying to keep up with it. I can't do that either, it'll just let the problem get worse. But I really really really don't know what else I can do. There aren't any doors so I can't confine the cats to one area or keep them out of another, which would be my normal advice to someone else with this problem. Arrrgh.

They are lucky they are cute, that's all I can say.
